Late Summer Updates

The past few weeks have been full of rehearsals, travel, planning and a few unexpected delays, but we are finally back to sharing the stories behind Legends of Motown. This show is built by people who care deeply about the music and about each other, and taking the time to highlight every performer has been one of the most rewarding parts of preparing for the season ahead.

We have now introduced the performers who help carry the Motown sound from the first note to the last. Evan, our emcee, brings charm, humour and a steady guiding presence that keeps the show moving and the audience connected. Michael and Steven bring strong vocal presence and heart. Aria brings joy, movement and a vibrant neo soul tone. Nick brings warmth and rhythm. Chris brings colour and soul. Alan brings global percussion traditions. Dennis brings decades of production and performance experience. Eddie brings structure and calm. Paige brings expressive guitar work. Joel brings energy and versatility. Each performer adds something unique to the ensemble, and together they create the foundation of the show you will see on stage.

Today we are also sharing something special. Our founder, David Callender, recorded a new reel for our Facebook and Instagram accounts that tells the story of how Legends of Motown came to life. It is a look at the vision, the work and the passion that built this show from the ground up. His story reminds us why this music matters and why bringing it to audiences across Canada continues to be meaningful.

We've been reflecting on how much work goes into a production of this size. Rehearsals, arrangements, travel, scheduling and coordination all happen long before the audience arrives. Sharing these stories helps bring you closer to the people behind the music and reminds us why we do what we do.
